What's the standard alarm system if any on the BA XR6? Is it simply an imobiliser or full alarm system? Does the central locking system and imobiliser allow an aftermarket alarm to be added on. I'm interested in added an alarm that has remote start, open and close sun roof, and windows etc.
Its just an imobiliser. Ford has a full alarm that can be fitted during build or at the dealer .
As for the auto open sunroof and windows stuff , I doubt it would do this , but I could be wrong .

I know like this is going to sound like im going to start stealing cars but it isnt but what is the alarm system on a base BA Falcon like can they get in witout trouble or is there a proper alarm stopping u
That's what i am wanting to know. What's stopping people from breaking in to a BA?
I'd much rather install an alarm system, but how flexible are the new BA's with that sort of stuff???????????????
A mates parents Mercury Silver XR6 got broken into a few weeks ago in their garage, the got into the car but luckily did not get it started and take off. The bonnet was up and the ignition lock was stuffed also.
Either they were inexperienced or the system serves pretty well?

Plee, do you still use the remote from ford, or is a replacement one that you have been supplied with from Sentry?
Last thing i want to have is multiple remotes on my keys :-(
