Just ejected a CD, pressed load post a new CD in which was accepted but it didn't start to play and it autmoatically tries to Eject it, pressing eject doesn't work and I cannot switch to another CD (although the display indicates its selecting another CD).
Yes my sons did the same thing twice, theres nothing you can do with it, you will have to take the car to your Ford dealer, and get them to replace the cd player under warrantee, the hole box and dice has to come out, and be sent away to get the CDs out of it, then they send them back to the dealer for you to pick up. It takes about 6 weeks to get them back, and it takes about 2 weeks to get you a new CD unit in. Hope this helps...

Had same problem in all 3 of my Au Xr8s, In the end it was easier for me to take it apart to get cds out before exchanging unit with dealer. Bit more tricky in the BA though!

Many thanks for that. Did the dealer give any hassles about replacing it under warranty? I can just imagine them blaming it on a dud CD or something.
Just booked it in, the dealer said a common problem is people trying to insert a 7th cd!! you can only insert them when pressing 'load' so I can't see how that can happen unless the controlling sofware allows a 7th load.
no hassles with ford got a new unit and in a diffrent colour was blue now is green

no not again ! had two au2 xr8 utes both replaced stereos last time it jamed i pulled the fuse and it came back good as new . can't believe after all the trouble with the old 6 stacker that they didn't fix it!
