Well it all really comes down to how much you wanna spend and how much room you wanna save. I usually recommend getting 1, more powerful sub rather than two that are half the power.
How much power do the cadence subs handle? Just as an example, in theory to gain 3db, you'd need either double the surface area (ie: another sub) or put double the power into one sub, so buying one w3 for example will sound as loud as two w0's, although you'll get better SQ from the w3, it will end up being cheaper to buy than two lower class subs and it'll take up less than half the room.
As I said, this is theoretically speaking, generally from what I've experienced, two w0's will go louder than a single w3, but the w3 sounds nicer.
But for $400 with a box you can't reallt complain, it's very hard to give advice though as we need to know the specs of the cadence subs to even attempt to compare it to other products.
OK so here's my view summed up...
: 1 more powerful sub can usually turn out cheaper
: Generally will be better SQ
: You'll often save more than half the space, as better subs don't need big enclosures to sound good.
: Also, You'll better setup for the future incase you wan't to upgrade by putting a second sub in, rather than sellin the cheaper subs to put better subs in place.
hope this helps...
