1) I dunno what happened to it

2) I myself have a gas tank and I have a lil 10" crossfire sub, I've found the tank doesnt really impare the peformance of the sub. Just put the sub in the back facing left to right and you should be right. I recommend leaving the seats up tho otherwise you'll hear the tank rattling

XplodEd EA i have a few concerns, i checked out your car and you have the benefit of a wagon, where mine is a sedan the gas tank is in the actual boot (not under the car) right behind the seats.

So when you pull down my back seats you cant get into the boot because of a 65 litre gas tank. Will i still have any luck with one 10inch Sub in the boot?????

thanks

Ah sorry mate, thats my dads car. I have bought myself a 5spd CFI sedan thats on gas, I havent upgraded the website yet, sorry for . The stereo in that car is now in my car except for the headunit which is a new one I got for christmas.

Depending on the quality of your sub it will still sound good, the car installer at autobarn was impressed by the sound quality coming from my lil 10".

Cool ill be getting a decent 10" and a decent 2 channel amp, happy just to have the woofer on the amp and turn the bass down on the other 4 speakers.

So position the woofer on the left side of the boot facing accross to the right side?

Thanks

Well what are you lookin for, Sound quality or SPL. With regards to sound quality it shouldn't impare the sub at all, but if your lookin for spl, the gas tank will certainly cut a fair few db's of your score. Simply having the seats up (no gas tank) in my car greatly impares the subs full potential to score high SPL numbers!

PS. Xploded EA, How the hell do you get your engine bay lookin so good? Mine looks like sh!t no matter how much you clean it.

PSS. Sorry for hijacking your thread!

SPL = Sound Pressure Level

Basically how loud it is. The more SPL, the louder, so as I said, the gas tank won't effect the quality of the sound, it will just cut down the volume of the bass in the cabin.

Although as Xploded EA said, it MAY rattle a little bit, so your probably better off putting the seats up.

thanks for that

Are there any known safety issues with subs and gas tanks, like a 15" up to its full potential? Causing dramas
