Just got a new cd player to replace the crappy tape deck i have there now. Tried to install it today but found that the holder for the player was too small. So i need another one. Where can i get one and how much usually?

Most Car Audio and Part Places (Eg Strathfield Car Radios) sell brackets/facias to suit particular cars...there is a special facia and bracket for the XE falcon so you can fit a regular sized DIN deck into the slot for the factory cassete deck...shouldnt be more than $20 to $25

There is actually 2 things you need for the XD/E stereo replacement. The cradle to hold the stereo and the facia panel. The cradle isnt cheap but the facia panel is. $40 and $15 should pretty much fix you up.
