I bet there'll be quite a few people interested in your efforts.

luke, I have the parts list and will supply it all soon. I have been really busy the last few weeks. I am still ironing out some production bugs and when I have it all sorted including a finished production circuit I will post all I can

Re: DVD/MP3 Player - Watch DVD Movies in your BA on the factory screen
After lots of testing and development, I have come to the conclusion that this project is not going to be easy enough to do all work required for full kits to be produced for sale, so as I have all my info in many places I will get a final parts list and an instuction kit for building the interface. This interface will only at this stage be for VGA 15.7khz input so you will need to either have a DVD which does VGA (most dont) or a VGA card in a PC which can either work with winVGATV or has drivers for 15.7khz output like the ArcadeVGA Card (Which is what I use), or else you will need to do further development for XBox/PS2 Scart input. I should be able to get something together in a day or two with some pics

Re: DVD/MP3 Player - Watch DVD Movies in your BA on the factory screen
Just thought I'd let you know of my experience with the Blaupunkt units to date. Had the unit installed by local fitter , let me say in contrast to the experience that Saleen1 had in Canberra the guys in Goulburn have been first rate in their dealings with me , and I was very pleased with the result. Unfortunately I seem to have a slight problem with the unit. After driving around for 10-15 minutes the screen goes blank , but audio continues. Took it back to the installers who got onto Blau who thought it might have been a problem with the player. New player arrived within 24hrs and was installed , but again the problem persisted. Blau have now sent a new interface to replace the original to hopefully correct the problem. All wiring and conections have been double checked. Hope to see the new interface in the next couple of days and will advise outcome. Again let me say that the installer and Blau's reaction to this problem have been first rate , although Blau felt that if the interface did fix the problem then the fault may be caused by something else in the car.
I have posted this message for two reasons. A) Has anyone else who has had the Blau unit installed experienced this problem and if so what was done to correct. B) Just to make people aware of this problem. Blau have told us that this is the first time that they have heard of this happening.

Im very interested in this unit aswell. After a bit of research i would say it would be the interface. Have you had any problems since they replaced this??

any pics of install??
The media interface is on its way. The installers advised that Blau think it could be another issue. They have said that their is some sort of over-ride in the BA system in which if the screen gets too "hot"(?) then it automatically cuts off. Their is apparently a way to turn this off , which is described in the manual which I will be pouring through tonight to find , but in the eight months that I have had the car I have never had the screen cutout before. Has anybody else heard of this?
