Re: DVD/MP3 Player - Watch DVD Movies in your BA on the factory screen

Looks like you can buy this stuff everywhere in Melbourne, Repco, Autobarn etc. Heading out today to have a look.

Can anyone recommend a quality, professional installer in Melbourne?

Cheers,

Michael.

Re: DVD/MP3 Player - Watch DVD Movies in your BA on the factory screen

Just been out looking at SatNav systems, rear screens etc.

Muzzzza, any pics yet of your headrest screens? 5.6" would be about the biggest you can fit in wouldnt it?

In know SatNav is a bit off topic for this thread but I looked at Blau and VDO side by side and VDO mapping seems far superior. My plan is to fit the Blau Interface & DVD and then plug a VDO SatNav into the interface.

The only thing I dont get is how do you hook up to the Infra Red eye above the ICC for all these different systems??

Many thanks,

Michael..

Yeah, thats about the limit. In fact my headrests were completely remade so they fit well. About 2cm taller that the original ones, but look completely factory.

The Blaupunkt upgrade module uses this infrared for the DVD remote, can't tell you how it's hooked up though.
BTW, I have an infrared transmitter for the headphones, it sits just above the rearview mirror. Very discreet if you do need a spot.

Re: DVD/MP3 Player - Watch DVD Movies in your BA on the factory screen

Thanks for that Muzzzza, I have my eye on a couple of 5" screens going cheap.....

Mind you, gotta get the car first, then I guess it will all come together.

Cheers,

Michael.
