DVD Player ????

Hi Guys

I have no idea about this stuff but to press the play button on the remote.
So hopefully someone here works for Strathfield or similar and can advise me whats suitable for my AU3.
I plan to do a few trips with the kids over Christmas New Year and would like to surprise them that they can watch movies while on the road.
I don't need the latest and greatest with all the gizzmos, just great picture and reliable product. Where does it mount etctec and how much does it cost and fitment.

Thanks in advance

BD

Re: DVD Player ????

You might get a better response in the Asylum, not sure how may move around in areas such as this.

Re: DVD Player ????

You can buy setups that dont need to be installed into your car for like $500. It includes the DVD player and a TV screen.
They just hang on your seat or whereever you want to put it and plug straight into the cigarette lighter.

When you arent using it, it folds away neatly into the carry case it came with. So you can take it out of your car if you like.
Strathfield sell them Im pretty sure.

Re: DVD Player ????

All depends what u want. You can get roof mount screens which fold down from roof, range in size from 5.6" - 17" maybe bigger. Headrest mount in back of head rest, 5.6" - 8", in dash usually where the head unit is and it pops out and up 5.6" - 8" screens which strap to your sunvisors. But as DansEdgli suggested may be your best bet unless you want something more permanent.
I have a clarion 6.5" indash widscreen sitting above an alpine head unit, which is connected to a PS2. I take the PS2 out the car so it is used for multi purpose.

17"? Does it interfere with the rear view mirror? Are they legal? Never heard of them before....
