Ebay Alarms?? Any good?

Im looking at getting an alarm now that I have my car back some mods worth protecting.

Do people have any opinions on the alarms sold on ebay?

In particular this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....504579194&rd=1

It sounds feature packed and the remote start and turbo timer will be handy for warming it up early in the mornings.

How does the alarm integrate with smartlock? I have an EB series 2.

My mate got one.... the circuit board was made out of paper or something he was going on about. He needs a new one, I think he's gonna buy off ebay again.

Just do lots of research behind the item.

For it to be approved to Australian insurance spec`s it must have all black wiring.(makes it harder to tamper with.)

Re: Ebay Alarms?? Any good?

dan, whilst I am an avid Ebay user and don't want to hinder any business anyone may be doing there, I would just like to say, buy an alarm elsewhere. I paid about 20-30 bucks for one on Ebay and it was positively shite. It locks and unlocks the doors at random. the indicators are constantly on when the doors are open. There are a few other problems, but all in all I would like to say, buy a decent one. pay a couple of hundred and get one that works.

Cheers, Waity.
