I would be led to believe that it wouldnt, simple because its a factory amp that wouldnt have much power. Hook it up and see, if so, leave it, if not, buy an aftermarket. Either way, ur not in a position to lose.

even thogh its a factory amp its basicly like an aftermarket one, it just doesnt have gain control or anything like that. its not like those shitty ones you find in the consoles of DA LTD's or anything

Yes they will run a 12 I put a 600w 10 in my XR8 worked a treat, By the way the amps are Alpine as standed & the gain control is there you have to take the outer case off to get to it......

Attaching a low power amplifier to a high power sub will work however don't turn it up too loud because as soon as the amplifier starts clipping then you'll get a very large current draw through them. Better to overamplify than to overspeaker.

I put a EF Ghia premo sound amp in my gf's telstar and its powering a 10" sub ok.
I tested it with my 12" sub and it had no hassles aslong as u didnt crank it (we didnt try)

yeah they work fine
the early ebII amps are the best cause they have all the gain and pass and mono controls ,where they removed the controls on the ed only the gain control is there
the older ones will happly run 2 ,12"
they are alpine 8402's ( or 8403's from memory ) 4/3/2 channel anp 50 watt X4 (early ones )
