EL Ghia

hi all


i have a EL Ghia premium sound system and i was look and the and there is a yellow rca there not hooked, i would like to know what this rca is for and can i use it to drive my kenwood subs.

and with the amp how is the stock sub workin when there is no rca's pluged in for it to work??

Seriously though, what *is* plugged into the amp ? Are you sure that the sub is working ?

theres is a red, white, and yellow rca, the red and white r pluged in the ch 1 + 2 which are the backs spks.

ch 3 + 4 is for the sub which is pluged in and workin but there is no rca's pluged into the 3 + 4 inputs

the yellow RCA should be the one for the sub, I believe it's usually plugged into the 3rd channel input, are you positive the subs workin?? Try plugging the RCA into input 3 and see what happens...

Umm perhaps the back speakers a running straight off the HU and the subs running bridged off channel 1 & 2?? Usually the back speakers run off channel 1 & 2, while the sub runs bridged off 3 & 4. I'm thinkin whoever had the car before you might have rewired the system to get more power into the sub and just run the back speakers off the HU. That's my guess anyway...

Traditionally A/V triplets have red/white/yellow groups...

The red and white's are the audio and the yellow is the visual? Is everyone sure it's not some sort of visual RCA for a Nav system or something?

the back spks are workin and the subs work coz i have put my kenwood sub on the amp when i unplug the red or white one of the back spk stop work and the sub is not as loud there must beed a link in the amp to link ch 1 and 2 to 3 and 4.

are the rcas a low level output or high level output coz i mite put in my kenwood amp and use that insted of the ford amp. just need to know what output the h/u has.

becuase the 3/4 channels are bridged, there is no need for the 4th channel RCA to be plugged in, after ripping out the whole interior from an EF Ghia thats what we concluded :)
I'm wondering how it'd go powering a single 10" sub.

the amp will run ur 10" i had 2 kenwood 12" running off it with no probs
