Engine Interference

Hi all im having an annoying problem with my EA.

When i turn the stereo on i get electrical noise from the engine eg. as the revs rise the ringing increases.

Am i missing something that stops this interference?

Its an old amp so maybe its just crap...?

Re: Engine Interference

You need a dampner thing. I cant exactly remember what the hell they're called sorry. Just go to your local car audio shop and tell them your problem, they'll give you a gadget and you'll install it and the ringing will stop! Perfect.

My mates car had the same problem, but his sound was a whining. Sounded OK, bit like a supercharger :)

Re: Engine Interference

Are your RCA's running next to your power cable on the same side of the car?

I had my power cable next to the RCAs and it caused interference in my car.
