Fake Alarm LED installation?
Hey, i bought one of those fake flashing alarm lights for my xc and wanted some help installing it. First of all it says i have to connect one wire (red) to the battery on the + terminal. Thats fine. The other wire has to be connected to the white wire on my ignition so that when i turn the car off and remove the key it will be - (earth) and the light will flash. When ignition is on, both are positive and it stops.
I tested this by touching the light to the battery and the other wire on a bolt and it worked.
Is there an easier way to wire it up. For example i put the power wire onto the back of my clock which was fine but i cant get to the bloody ignition. They made it real hard in the xc. No idea how to remove the steering colomn shroud.
If anyone can help id be real appreciative. I also have a kill switch so if i can wire it up to that it would be cool as well, so that it flashes when i kill the engine.
