Give my f^*%#@g CDs back

I have a series 3 au with the 6 stack indash cd player. My problem is it has all 6 cds in it and it wont play or eject any of them. The radio works fine. Any ideas on removing them short of driving in a big flat bladed screwdriver with a hammer and giving it a twist.

Larko, the AU at my previous work used to take CD's every now and then say one a month, it was only a single player though, anyway to get it out I found turning off the key, holding the eject buttong and turning on the key worked.

Good for another month

Take it to your friendly Ford dealer if BOFs suggestion doesn't work. My mate had the same problem - somehow they got his CDs out and gave him a replacement unit - which had to be ordered in requiring another trip to the dealer.

JCV8 advise is good. Just go to your local dealer and they will fit in a new one for you. They are also different inside the spacing of the Cds because the old 1s were jaming due to the fact the space was too close and with the heat they were stuffing up. My dad got his replaced in his car. No problems with it so far. :)

Yep. Take it to Ford. Or any audio shop.

Or you can DYI - Here's thread on how to remove the radio:

Your covered by warranty, you shouldnt have to pay to take it somewhere to get it fixed.
Take it to the dealer you got the ute from and ask for a replacement.

i havent had this problem, but my advice would be to get some small gauge tubing, like that used for fish tanks, a funnel and 1 litre of water.

turn it on. turn it up. attach one end of the tubing to its insides. attach the other end to the funnel. fill funnel with water. sit back and be satisfied.

Same thing happened in Dad's AU2. The dealer ordered a new unit to replace it and they sent it away to get the CD's out. Apparently it is quite common. They said NOT to open the unit, they wouldn't even do it as it would void the warranty. Then you get to pay for the replacement unit......
I'd take it to the dealer.
