i went to carpet the back of my 12 inch sub box the other day and didnt realise that the rca leads were a little bit short, so naturally when i went to pull the box out from the boot a bit the leads came out. I have tried many combinations with the 2 rca converters but still leaving the amp on high frequency, the only problem is there is no bass the sub plays the song like the rest of the speakers. But if i change the frequency to low i get bass but its too loud and not really good bass just really deep, so what im wondering is if anyone has a wiring digram or knows a little about wiring up subs and amps as any information would be helpful.

low pass filter for bass and turn the gain right down if its too much bass for you
