Or if you want something a little more flexible and non-permanent, use crimp-connectors. They're not very expensive and you don't really need a crimping tool to use them (standard pliers (not long-nose) are fine).
In fact, unless you KNOW you're not going to change your mind later, I'd always use crimp-connectors. Either bullet or spade (although depending on the app, bullet connectors with tight-fitting rubber covers are often better as they will help minimise any corrosion or oxidisation of exposed metal).
Twisting's for testing. Of all the wiring applications you could do, audio signal wiring is NOT where you want a less than solid connection. (Unless, of course, crackling is your preferred music genre).
