G'day all,


I was wondering if any can help with information on installing an alarm system into an EA Falcon. I did the central locking last week and am going to intergrate with the alarm. I got what I need to wire up all sorted.

I am not 100% on wirring up the imobiliser part, any help?

I also after help with the indicators. I was going use the wirring for the hazard light to connect it up, is this the best option?

For wirrng the central locking for the rear doors I have ran it through the holes that had grommets in them. One in between the the rear door on the door it self and the other on the one in the gap near the back of the front door on the car. Is there a 'factory' rubber sleve that I can use to neat'n things up?

if anyone could provide a wirring diagram of an EA, it would help.

Basically your tapping/splicing into the wires you'll need for immobiliser, hazard lights, ACC etc.

I recently installed an alarm to my EA without a wiring diagram, just went through the wiring in the car and found/tested with a test light.

Learnt a lot about the car when i did this, and no one can do a better job on your own than you. Hid the control box and wrapped the wiring real good and its very neat as well.

I thought that if you wanted to get the insurance discount the alarm/immob had to be install by a licensed tech??

I recently got a Mongoose M80 in my EF falcon, cost a total of 250, which included hooking it up to smartlock door system.

I'm not too sure about the insurance bit, but i've got the top of the range rhino alarm for $140 with all black wiring, back up siren and a screamer alarm inside the car as well. The kit basically has all the functions, plus i can add some more functions such as remote start, auto window close on arming etc.
