hey i havea 1998 ford ranger and i want to hook up my amp and sub up to the stock cd player but when i pulled it all out i was all confused by the wiring job back there and i dont have the money to go out and buy a new cd player to install

ok so heres what you need to do...
you dont need to take out the deck for this job, all you need to do is either get a line level converter or use the amps high level imputs
you attach a line level converter the rear speaker and attach the RCAs to the amp like you would usually
