I've got a 1993 Ford Taurus GL 3.0L

Ok so I figured it was about time to stop rocking the tape adapter for all my CD needs and after a little looking and research I figured it would be a safe bet if I bought this.

So I have my radio removal tool and took the coin/cup holder tray out of the second slot and am going to put the CD player in there. I already have the AM/FM/Cassette player, the one without DNR and Automatic on the tape door.

What am I going to have to hook up to get this working. All help is appreciated.

Also just to check, was I right to think that this CD player wouldn't have worked in my car? I was believing I would have needed the JBL Premium Sound.

You are correct in thinking that this stereo won't directly hook up to your existing harness. I found the pin listings (for the old stereo) on a Google search a while back, but I'll have to try and find them again if you can't. There are a couple sites out there, and they're pretty easy to find. The pins on the new one are a different story. I had to take mine apart to ohm out the GND, and the speaker pins, but that's all I know. I couldn't find much on the net about it...some TOP SECRET information I guess. Try and see if the place you got the stereo has any ideas about the pins. No matter what, you're going to have to clip and re-direct these harnesses to make it all work out. I'll try and find that info that I do have and get it to you in a later post.
