Just got an alarm system installed for $300, feels much more secured when parking my fairlane in public carparks. BTW, is the deal good or not?

Sounds pretty good to me! It's got every feature that I would want. I'm sure it must give you peace(or is it 'piece'?!)-of-mind now. What is the perimeter alarm exactly?

I reckon that's something that will set off the alarm whenever doors, boot or bonnet is open when it's armed. May be some voltage change detection or sort of.

Next thing to do, is take the stickers off that say your car is protected by an alarm. Theives can use these to determine what sort of alarm you have so they can get past it.
I rely on the flashing light to warn people, no stickers on my car

Sounds like the Vision Stage 2A alarm I had installed on my EB from Autobarn a few years back, cost me about 300 with installation as well. It's got all the bells and whistles that docomo listed. It's pretty good, I had to get used to disabling the alarm before opening the boot with the key, because the pressure sensor would retract and set the alarm off everytime i opened the boot manually. Looked like quite the dickhead setting off my own alarm, I've learnt, next car will have a boot release feature :)

Nah, they won't be able to do that, I've put the sticker of another brand on my car.

I was going to say, you can get generic alarm stickers anyway. People with no security at all have been known to put them off to try to scare off thieves.
Good stuff with the purchase, I think anyone with no security is taking a ridiculous risk.
