I have two amps mounted on some MDF. I am going to carpet the MDF and conceal some of the smaller wires underneath the carpet. However, I want to hold down the 4/8 gauge wiring with some stuff like conduit. I went to Bunnings, and they only supply really big fat conduit that would look horrible in a boot install. Where can I get some appropriate stuff? And is it called conduit? I'd prefer black plastic or metal (I've seen this before) that I can paint. I bought some cable clips, but they're not really suited for my application.
Any other ideas to hold down wiring so it's neat and straight? Pictures to aid my situation would really be appreciated too.
Cheers.

Steve: always first on the scene in the audio department!
Just had a look at that chrome hose stuff underneath the sink. It would look really nice! How would you plan on holding it down to the surface (ie. MDF)? And then it needs to be bent to the specific shape... Ugh!! I hope you don't mind if I steal your idea
Maybe I will just have to use lots of cable plugs
