Re: New Radio Installation
Do you have any particular questions? If not, just get r dun! Tear out that old one, and put in the new one. Some people suggest bypassing the factory amp, some suggest replacing it with a better one, and some people say to just use the original one. It seems to be a matter of opinion or situation depending on the other components that are being replaced. If you are just replacing the receiver itself, it should be pretty straight-forward...tear out the old one, and put in the new one...just re-connect the new one how the old one was connected. Don't bother buying the din tools to remove it though...I bent some large wire into a "u" shape and did the same thing. Good luck...Don't forget to disconnect the battery for at least 2 minutes before doing any work; if you accidently fire off the air-bag, it could kill you! Don't be concerned enough to hire someone else to do it, it really is that easy (as Ron Popeil says). Just dis-connect it for at least 2 minutes (leave it dis-connected), then dig in!
