Anyone had any experience with PS2 in cars.
Do they jump or skip at all?
What sort of inverter (if any, or is there a mod) did u use?
Is the DVD and sound quality as good as a 12volt DVD only player?

The guys I know that have put Playstations in their cars all used 12 -> 240V inverters.

Can't say about the skipping but they successfully played games on long haul trips

id really like to know if ps2 will skip when playing normal music cd's in a car.

Don't know anyone who has one you can try? I would think the skip performance would be somewhere like one of the early discmans without Shock Protection.

I know of guys who've used them for games while on the road and quite a few games actually just play the soundtrack off the cd just as a normal CD player. They had no problems.

There are a few guys around here that have them in their back seat areas. THey can play on long hauls but in the city when there is a lot of bumps and potholes they are useless and skip all the time.

i had 1 in my 2oosx and el xr8 had no probs working at any sort of speed or road condition. the only problem was it melted due to being permanately mounted on the rear parcel shelf. mind you i live in alice springs.
