Hey I was wodnering how long normally it takes for the radio to reset itself after 3 failed attempts? I read in the owners manual that after 3 failed attempts, it takes longer for it to come back up with code? Any ideas?

Leave it for at least 2 hours. each time you get it wrong, it increases the time between attempts.

I did hear if you try twice and fail, turn the igntion off for 5 mins then turn it back on, then try twice again, then turn off for 5 mins etc, you can avoid the long delay between failed attempts.... There was a thread about it some where try a search.

Thanks for the replies.

I went into FORD and spoke to someone there.

You have to turn the key to Accessory (the 2nd click) with the radio turned on. Ignition off.

And about after 15 minutes to an hour it will go back to code. If you get it wrong again.. The delay gets longer.

He also said that there is no easier way of doing it.

Or you can dissconnect the battery and it should be reset
