Has anyone had the pleasure of viewing the screen on the RAVDVD2, could anyone give me some ideas on how good this unit is im thinking about putting one in my EF Ghia..

I have not seen one yet bar pics in catalogs ect.

Very very nice unit buy the looks and would compleate my system for sure.

They want decent money for it tho.. Better start saving.

What system have do you have...

Any idea what set's this dvd player aside from th rest, what special specs or th like does it have which th others dont...

Im not really that shaw, I haven’t looked into it that far as there is no way I could afford one on the wages im currently on.

Other then the fact it has a Rockford Fosgate badge witch would add a bit to the price im not totally sure.

Wot have I got?
I’ve got a Rockford 9320 head unit.
2 Pairs of Eclipse Point Source 5X7's.
2 Rockford HE2 12" Subs
1 Rockford Punch 601S Amp to run the subs.
And an old AWA Amp to run the Eclipses.

Im lookin around at screens and stuff at the moment, in dash is very expensive, tho I can probably get a Roof mount at the right price and a cheap DVD player to do me for a while.

Will see wot happens.

I could probably find out a bit about it when i get home next week to wot are its pro's n con's... but yeah, out of my price range :(

Currently i have no setup other than the standard EF Ghia sound, which is not too bad. I want to change the existing speakers etc with rockford & also add a sub, not sure whether to go 1 or 2 & whether to have 1 10" or 2 10" or 1 12", etc.. May i ask 4 some pix of ur sub's in the car? Are they extremely loud or, im keen for bass but i dont wanna go way overboard. Id love to try out digital sound in my car, does rockford make digital speakers?

Sorry i have almost no idea about this stuff, yet.

Pretty much that RAV DVD 2 should have 5 or 6 preouts on it that u run to amps and then speakers, or just line outs that u run to speakers.

That will give you the Digital surround sound.

Speakers are speakers, no such thing as digital speakers.

It sounds awesome in a car and I vow to do it one day, just don’t no when that will be.

Yes it is loud, but you don’t have to play it loud, just I like to do that.

If ya want to save room, a decent 8" or 10" in the parcel shelf is always an option.

Oh ok, would this be the same with a cheaper model dvd player like a sony?

So with the speakers, mine would be digital sound?

Alls i know is you can get dolby pro logic for the home or dolby digital... I thought digital speakers where different.

BTW very very nice car mate! Your sound system look's really expensive, did u install it yourself? yea i hav the 8" open air sub already standard, but its only good for sound deffinition. i think maybe 1 12" rockford sub underneath the parcel shelf in the boot would go well..

I would hope it is not (and suspect it is far from) the quality of sonys ect.

Id say it would have to be similar to a Clarion or something, they seam to be well regarded as far as there screens go anywayz.


Its not the speakers that make the difference between pro logic (analog) and digital sounds. Its the amps and the source into the amps that make the difference.

Thanx about the car, I did install it myself yes. Though I must say I work in the industry (I sell and install home theaters, projectors, TV’s ect) so I have a bit of experence with this stuff.
