Re: Re-Programming Key Fobs

Im pretty sure you need to turn the key to the "on" position, and within 5 seconds press the boot release button 3 times (or 5 times in 3 seconds).

The door locks should cycle up and down once. Now press a button on the fob(s) u want to program.

To finish, simply turn the key to the off position.

Re: Re-Programming Key Fobs

Thanks Ross,

I had been told by a friend that for an EF you had to push the rear demistor button 3 times then hold it down and push the key fob button...but it didn't work!
I'lll try your idea out...

Cheers

Thumbs up Re: Re-Programming Key Fobs

Hi

Page 68 shows you the information on how to do "keypad training"

* Switch ignition from "off" to "accessories" position
* Press & release boot/tailgate release button on the dashboard 3 times within 5 seconds.
( The door locks will now operate to let you know its in learn mode)
* Now press "DOOR" button on the new remote, the door locks should now operate twice to indicate the keypad will now work on the vehicle.
(You can train the car to recognise up to 4 keypads)

Hope this helps :)
