I recently aquired a ford car radio for my EA, but it requires a security code.
I know that it is generated from the VIN number of the original car, (which i don't know).
I think i might have found a way to make a generator which cycles though all possible combo's of numbers.
To do this I need to know EXACTLY what to do, as in pretending that i do have the code.
does the radio engage immediately when correct code is entered ?(i need to know this to save the current state of the generator.)
is code only made from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ? how many digits in the code ?
I also tried powering the radio from an ordinary 12v supply, the lcd lights up but nothing happens when i press anything. how could i power the radio from a normal supply ?
I have my original deck no idea of the code, and I know my VIN for my EA, if you are in Melbourne, maybe I can let you borrow mine to play with, I do say maybe as I don't know you :0)
