sirius turn-on

I have an '05 F350 SD with stock cd player/radio, i added a sirius starmate satellite radio/fm transmitter. I am happy with the system, don't need crazy volume or bass as I just got it for Howard Stern, my question is this though. I currently have the sitius mounted on the dash where the 4x4 switch would be if I had it and I have concealed all the wires neatly but I have to plug the power wire into the cigerette lighter or the power point and this looks crappy, but looks are not the problem, every time I turn off the truck(and it is a canteen truck, so I turn it off and on about 35 times a day) the sirius stays on and I have to seperately shut it off everytime or leave it on all the time and that along with the other accesories I already have to leave on(refrigeration) would kill my battery eventually. I would like to hard wire it into the fuse panel maybe but I heard there is a resistor or something in the wire and this can't be done. what can i do ?

Resistor in the wire? or fuse in the plug part that goes into the cigarette lighter?

Either way, you can buy a female plug which has 2 wires coming from it. Plug the serius into that and hard wire the wires to a power source that is off when the key is off. Im not sure of your area so cannot refer you anywhere. Try your local stereo shop.
