as the origonal key chain buttons had broken off the key chain...
i have no idea on how to make the smartlock in my car reconise the new key chain controller ive now got..
Is it a matter of turning the ignition on while pressing buttons on the controller??? or do i have to take the car to an electrician or a ford dealer???? i dont have the operators manual as i baught my car 2nd hand 2 years ago... any help appreciated!!!!

Re: smart lock dramas!!

From memory, so i may be wrong...... Turn the ignition to either accessory or on (i can't remember) then turn the rear demister on and off three times quickley then press the transmitter button. The doors should then lock and then unlock to confirm.

Thanks TICK5.0.... Yeah it worked... You turn the key to accessory then hit the demister 3 times then that does the trick.. cheers!
ive been using the key to unlock the car for 1.5 years now..
