Re: Solex locks

I've installed them on my brother's celica. easy to instal and after 5 yrs, still going strong. i'm also thinking about installing them on my daily driver, cause you can unlock it with any key.

What car is it for?? Does your lock still work??

Re: Solex locks

Pk2000 - sounds like a good plan then. may work out cheaper than constantly replacing the locks.

fairmont1998 - yep. This is what they look like: http://www.niceproducts.com.au/solex/solex_3.htm

Re: Solex locks

Thought that was what they looked like. My sister has the same problem with her KE Laser locks getting "screwdrivered" constantly. Both front doors have panel damage because of it and neither lock works now. Lucky it has central locking hooked into the alarm.
I've suggested she get some locks like these but also go one step further when she has the doors repaired and have the passenger door lock removed. One less place for scum to damage then.

Re: Solex locks

Well my mate had these solex locks in his KE laser. We went into the pub and come out 45mins later to find the car gone and one of the locks sitting on the ground where it was parked. They just poped the lock out.
