opt 1. If you get a test light it is easy to identify 12v+ ,acc+ and- generaly you'll find brown is - . looks like "bunch 2" are speaker wires test by useing a 1.5v torch battery connect two wires to battery at a time speaker will crackle so you willwork out what pair of wires go to what speaker. you'll need the stereo install diagram for correct wiring should be with stereo or did you nick it?
opt 2. go to an auto electrician.

sony loom
white = left speakers (white is not right)
grey = right speakers
green = left rear
purple = right rear (the purple people eater is right behind you)
Red = acessory power
Yellow constant power
Black earth
Thats all you need to connect

right, well all fitted now, just got one problem which is i cant pick up any radio stations, even local ones. i fitted a aerial booster, to see if weak signal was the problem - no, before i look at replacing the aerial lead & mast, is there anything else i should look at??

cheers to all those who helped me locate which wire went where
