sony cd player head unit - help before i fry it


hi all,

im gonna be fitting a sony cd head unit to my mk3 fiesta, but before i fry it
i would like to make sure that i connect the correct wires together, right here goes:-

original wires - fitted to car wiring loom

bunch one
yellow, grey/yellow, red, heavy thick brown, light thin brown (not conected at present)

bunch two
yellow/black, white/black, yellow/brown, white/brown, yellow/red, white/red, green/white, yellow/white

original wires - fitted to stereo wiring multi plug

white/black, white/red dash's, green/black, green/red dash's, purple/black, purple/red dash's, grey/black, grey/red dash's, blue/white/red dash's, red, blue/red dash's, light blue/red dash's, heavy thick yellow, heavy thick black.

the stereo is just a cd player, NO amp, NO remote, it will be powering just FOUR speakers (standard fitting)
model number is :- cdx-c5000r

do you have a wiring harness for your car?

yes, i do have a wiring harness for the stereo, but no plug on the car end of the wires, all that is fitted is male/female bullet conecters.

as for the year, do you mean the car or stereo??

Bunch one will be your power and ground wires, best way to figure out for sure is to get a test light and find your constant and acc power, (constant always on, acc only on when the car is on) and for ground, you can make your own new ground connection to a metal part of the chassis. )

Bunch 2 are speaker wires, they should be in pairs of the same base colour.

It really helps if you were to find a friend who has some experience in this to help you out or do some searchig on the internet to find out which exact wires are yours.
