Steering Controls Experiment - AUII

just bought auII- i will get the steering controls to work,

the "ford" stereo pin has two wires set up for remote wiring... (im guessing steering controls) my pioneer head unit has a 3mm rca jack for remote and also a bus plug there, i figure it possible to wirre through to the rca remote jack??? anyone tried it? my searches resulted in not many clear answers, has anyone else tried this? it sholudn't take long but if its pointless?

if that isn't what the remote socket on head unit is for? then what ...

cheers, Chris

The remote interface on the head unit is for a pioneer remote. nothing will happen if you wire it up....

The product you need is made by a US company PAC, model# SWI-X. You will find them on ebay for about $45 USD.
