Just bought a JVC 300 WATT cd player i hooked up the speaker wires into the standard ea harness but can not work out the rest of the wires. On the standard harness i have 4 wires left, a blue one with white stripe, a green one with yello stripe, a brown one an a red one with blue stripe, on the cd player i have a yello + wire a blue one with white stripe and a red wire for accesories, i dont know which one goes where i think the blue one with white stripe is for electric arial mabe Please help.

Use a multimeter, if you haven't got one, there only twenty bucks, that'l sort your problems out

SPHELL

here are the colours

Blue/White = Accessories. (goes to red wire on JVC)
Green/Yellow = Constant 12V+ (Goes to yellow wire on JVC)
Black = Earth (Goes to black wire on JVC)
Brown = Illumination (Goes to orange/white wire on JVC [if applicable])
Blue/Red = Electric Antenna (Goes to blue or blue/white wire on JVC)

the speakers should be orange for the front left, grey for the front right, pink for rear left and blue for rear right.

so orange wires go to white wires on JVC
grey goes to grey wires on JVC
pink goes to green wires on JVC
and blue goes to purple wires on JVC.

On the car's speaker wires there will be two the same colour...for example Orange (front left speaker). The orange wires have stripes, one with a black stripe one with a green stripe. The black stripe ones are the negative and the green stripe ones are the postive speaker wires. Make sure you get your polarities around the right way or it will have no bass.
