Hi Guys

As the Sub in the F6 has been replaced once and will be replaced again as when you turn up your volume past 20 the thing pops. We were thinking why go back to Ford to get another unit which will be defunct we will go and get another sub and possibly an amp.

In my XR6 I had JBL and Kenwood so that is obviously what I was looking towards.

However the guys in the shops were trying to sell us this brand called MTX Now me personally I have not really heard of this brand before so I am asking if anyone has and what their thoughts are on it. The actual one we are looking at are TH4500 Sub and TH5404 Amp. Yes I have been on the net and done some research but of course that is all positive I am interested to know what you think!

We then went to another store and was also steered to another brand name which I have not really heard about and that was MRD-M605 and the sub SWR-1242D.

If it is at all possible can anyone enlighten me with how these have preformed for you.

I have disconnected my factory sub in my XR6T and run a MTX Thunder 6000 12 inch,its about 1 year old and gets fed through a 2 channel sound stream amp all boxed in boot. I have no problem with MTX subs as this is my second MTX sub. My first sub was a Rockford Fosgate 12 inch and I killed it with the same amp. Go with the MTX but spend some extra money and go mid to top of the range sub and you will never look back
