Being a standard LCD, there is more of a chance that the unit will have a DVI interface, rather than S-Video.
S-Video would require that the unit has the ability to decode TV signals and put them on the screen - quite a substantial bit of extra electronics.
DVI is an interface that is closer to the native digital interface of an LCD. In fact, most PC LCD's now have a DVI interface. Even a VGA interface is analogue, and as such requires an A/D converter to put on an LCD screen.
It would make sense for Ford to have used an industry standards interface. Building something proprietary would probably be possible, but would it be cost effective?
Time will tell.
