Just askin cuz i recently added a jvc mp3 HU and 12 disc MP3 stacker to my car. Still have stock speakers and was wondering what the best set up would be. i am after decent "bang for my buck". dont wanna spend too much but want a nice loud/clear system. any suggestions would be muych appreciated. thanks guys

i am running alpine sps-6939s in the rear parcel shelf(6x9 3 way) i think and in the front i have alpine dddrive ddc-f17c (6 1/2') component speakers. to this i have added a pioneer multi disc controller deck with a 6 disc stacker in the boot. i also have two fusion 12' subs in a custom ported box . all this is powered by two pioneer amps mounted behind the rear seats.

im running kenwood 6" 140watt all around which arnt too bad for stuff all money. I have fitted my head unit with a custom facia to get fid of the ugly AU gap with an after market stereo.

I have made a custom board shapped to the AU boot to cover my ugly gas tank, then mounted my amp on that.

Mines an Xr ute, the premium stereo is bog standard. Except i added a HiFonics 12" sub boxed behind the rear passenger seat. The stereo goes twice as hard as you can turn the bass down on the speakers. The standard splits up front have excellent clarity as is.

XR8Ute - got a photo of your sub box? I'm thinking about getting a sub behind each seat, and I was wondering how you fitted yours.
