Hi all,
Replaced the rooted manual aerial in my ED with an electric one. Wired it up and everything works, except for one problem - silly me wired the power to the cigarette lighter, which is turned off when you turn off the ignition key, meaning the aerial doesn't go down when you turn the car off
What I was wondering was what is a good source of always-on power around the stero area? The head deck's manual (Pioneer DEH-2350) says not to wire anything else into the deck's power line, but I was thinking wiring it into the always-on power line on the deck (as opposed to the ignition-on power line) wouldn't be so bad. Opinions? Other ideas?
Finally, as I'm going to have to add the aerial's power line to an existing line, is there an elegant way of doing this? Is there some sort of three way connector you can buy, or should I simply snip, strip and join the three lines (two ends of existing line + aerial power line)?
Cheers,
Matt
