Hi guys today I thought ill give the old AU falcon a test.I bought a stopwatch..pulled up the side of the freeway switched the shift kit on hit the accelerator and stopwatch the same time .Iended up hitting 100kph and hit the watch as well.I raised it to my view and it read 7.6seconds .Is this any good??? If not what do you guys get??Ps..I treied it again and couldntget a better time!!

well, last time i went down the qtr, i was doing 114km/h in 9.4 secs... So i would say that i am doing roughly 8 sec 1-100km/h.

Thats with a manual and 3.9 diff gears... That was also with a EA 5 Speed, and i was probably short shifting...

Mines an auto and i had 150kg of tools in it?Havent done it again today too much traffic came..dont want to drive dangerously.

I personally think that 7.6 sounds a little to fast for an AU loaded up with tools with minimal mods (isnt it a wagon?). Stock is 9 seconds for a sedan. Are you sure your timing is accurate?

Id be pretty happy with the car though if the time is correct

I have an EF auto. stock gearbox and diff. I took the head off and shaved it right down did a bit of a port and polish and bolted it back together with JMM head gasket, plugs, leads and a crow cam st2. car has done best of 7.4 Oh also has intake and exhaust mods...

Ive gotta admit it did this time once .I tried later and nup time was different and the car felt a bit more sluggish.1 second difference.I do have jim mocks extractors 2.5inch exhaust and ive spent many hours mucking around with the plugs.Ive also got a kn panel filter in the airbox +tickford intake tube.Lastly Ive done some work to my intake box to cut restriction.But at the end of the day it did do that 1 run pretty well.I might go try tomorow again

Mums EL wagon (dead stock) has done a few round 9.2 (averages that...) and when on premium, it averaged about 8.7, 8.6. I'm pretty impressed.

Mates EL sedan does 8.5's did a couple of 8.2's after we serviced it.AU's are supposed 2 be a little faster than ELs... NRMA sez EL is 9.4, AU 8.7...so take that .7 off the average 8.5 and u get 7.8...so mayb that is right.

I have tested my AU2 Fairmont and got 8.7's. All I've got is air intake system as described on aufalcon's website and run bp 98 octane.

Is Au and AU2 diff ratio different? Au does 78k's in 1st and 125k's in 2nd. Some as mine; does 90 in 1st and 140 in second. The take off isn't as slam in your back as my old EB2 but once it gets to 20-30 k it pulls hard. I've also found the harder you drive it the better it goes.
