1988 EA HeadGasket

I know the EA's have a problem with the headgasket,
but is there anyway i can put on for example an ED head gasket.
Would that make any difference?

Or should i put in another motor?

Currently mine is a 3.3L CFI.

The 3.2 motor....

Hey Wadem,

Firstly - you are one of the unlucky buggers it seems who own the 3.2 (not 3.3) CFI motor in the EA. In short, the unit sucks as much juice as the 3.9 mpfi (from all report) with considerably less power.

So in short - if you are playing with the head gasket for whatever reason, I would be looking to upgrade the motor. Sometimes hindsight is a great judge but what hell were the boys with the blue oval badge thinking when they sent the 3.2 motor out to battle in an EA........

Anyway, just bringing the post to the top so some guys with more info/experince on the 3.2 motor can have their say.
