1988 XF Fairmont Ghia MPEFI Ignition Timing
You'll have to forgive me for this post - I'm not usually this thick.
When I checked the ignition timing on the above ol' dog it was way advanced. Conferring with the workshop (gregorys) manual suggested that the "spark output spout should be disconnected from the distributor module" to check the timing. What in the hell is the "spark output spout"? I have never heard of anything of that nature - and there's only one connector on the distributor anyway - without which I'm pretty sure it won't run at all - not much use for checking the timing. Any ideas?
