250 Crossflow iron/alloy Interchangeability - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I have a fully reco'd iron head (ulp), extractors, intake manifold and holley.

I've listed these in the for sale section but may have an alternative use.

A mate has a tired ef ute with an alloy head 250 (or200?).

Are the heads interchangable and what other mods are required? I'm pretty sure you can go the other way but have no idea whether my idea is practical.

I'd appreciate your input.

Iron heads will fit a later block and vice versa , BUT it may cause an increase in emmisions and certainly increases fual consumption , a wreckers alloy head in good nick is damn cheap anyway.
