I have an EA SII Faclon, it is suposed to have a 3.9L Multipoint injected motor, but the previous owner had it run on gas, so the whole injection system was changed, now it looks like a normal carby, but at close inspection I was told it was a duel point injection thing, the only thing I really know is that it really lacks in power, a 77 Torana can beat me, and when you put the foot to the floor from standstill, it just dies.....

Anyone know what the prob might be???

Youve definately got a CFI setup, funnily enough I had an EA SII auto wagon and a 6 pot Torana from that vintage was able to keep up with it too, and that was new running on petrol.

The death probably has something to do with the gas setup, does it do it running on petrol too?

I should have mentioned that I had the gas converter taken out and the tank taken out to, so now it just runs on ULP, so yes it does it on pertrol.....

have you checked the timing? it should be at 10BTDC when in diagnostic mode i think.

i dont know how to put a EA in diagnostic mode though.

also make sure fuel filter is new and also the plugs, leads and dizzy cap are in good nick, every EB i have ever worked on has needed a new dizzy cap and rotor, as they were worn out.
