Posting for an e series member:

Is there anything extra required or could i do a straight swap from a Falcon EA S Pack 3.9 MPI to a 4.0 ED motor. Are the looms the same? Gearbox is a 5spd manual.

yeah, its a straight swap, be careful, you need to change the fuel pump to a 4.0 one, well i had to when i did my 3.9MPFI to EBII 4.0MPFI swap in my NA Fairlane... but it goes in no worries

I thought the fuel pumps were the same from MPFI EA's as they were in 4.0litres??

They couldnt have been in this instance, as soon as you went to full throttle it would splutter coz it ran outta fuel... I put in the EBII's fuel pump and it was sorted
