Well as most of you know my poor old 3.9 has been suffering a seemingly incurable timing chain rattle that has finally gotten to me enough to hang my name tag on a relatively lower k 4.0 EB engine.
The engine comes with a 3 months warranty and a very nice price tag
Before fitting the engine I will be replacing the sump gasket, welsh plugs, rear seal and anything else I can think of that is near impossible to do with the engine in the car, paint the block etc
As far as I know it will be a straight swap with my 3.9 MPFI engine, I will leave my ECU, loom and intake manifold but exchange the rest, this way I dont have to bugger around with any wiring or anything like that
Chris, what problems did you have with the fuel pump again? I dont really see a need to change fuel pumps, does anyone know if the 4.0 pumps have different specs to a 3.9?
I thought I would just let you all know that I had finally figured out how to cure the incurable death rattle, TRANSPLANT!
It wont be for a few months yet but Im itching to get it under way
