hey guys just wondering how many k's u get from a tank of fuel in a 4.1 250 XFLOW motor???
as i am currently up to 285km's and i havent even reached half a tank yeton the gauge (XF ghia gluster) and does it mean that when the gauge says half a tank that there is 40 litres left (80 litre tank)

Dont trust the stupid gauge. On my EL, I get 400 on the first half of a tank, and then 100 on the last half!!!

I reckon you'd be laughing if you managed another 150.

whats the Range KM left on the trip computer?? In my XF Ghia experience the first half of the gauge is more like 3/4 of a tank. It will probably drop like a stone now!!!

Should have also asked if that was city driving or if it was ALL highway driving at a constant speed.

I get about 350km to a tank with mixed driving. My xf s pack has a digital tank readout with big bars then small bars, then two red bars, empty. Is this like ghias?

Like most said above the top half goes slow then DROPS after halfway mark quickly.
My car doesnt have an 80L tank, more like 66 i think.

Yes, that's the same as a ghia dash. My old XF EFI does around 250km to a tank 80 litres. I think it is because how it is tuned, and has different injectors. It absolutely hammed on petrol. :D

Futura97 i take it thats on gas cause me folks ef gets atleast 800 to a tank of petrol & thats city/highway driving

BOON250 my car is the unleaded 86 series 2 so it just has the clock in the trip notin else

im up to bout 310km and it looks like its gunna start to drop fast is there a way i can actually find out when i have half a tank of fuel left eg different gauge etc

I also find that the fuel guage stays full for quite some time, and then suddenly drops like a rocket after 1/2 way, must be the electronic sender that they use. I get about 400-500klms out of 60 litres from my 4.1, but its a fresh rebuild as well as the carby too. The auto sure could benefit from a extra gear! :)

With my XE wagon on straight gas i get between sixteen and eighteen litres per hundred kays depending on how good i'm being. It has a sixty two litre tank, so theoretically i should get three hundred kays between fills, never tried though coz running outta gas is a whole lot more of a problem than running outa petrol.
