i agree they were only fitted to 3.3 over here too, cos 3.3 had no torque
pre crossflow has more torque than a 250 crossflow IMO and will destroy that box if you thrash it
if you want a bolt in 5 speed thats tuff you can(if you can find 1) use a T5 complete setup from an 87 falcon XF
i have(recently removed to fit to another car) a T5 from EA using castlemaine rod shop (
www.rodshop.com.au) alloy bellhousing and all single rail clutch bits fitted to a 250 crossflow. FANTASTIC CONVERSION using original tail shaft and modifying gear box cross member a little only thing needing modifying.
