66inSLC Registered User Join Date: Dec 2006 Posts: 1	'78 250 w/starter above OilPan? I ran the numbers on a non-stock 6 that I pulled out of my '66 Bronco and it is a D8...which means 78...but the starter is mounted above the pan. Weird or not? Any insight would be helpful. Eventually putting the engine in a '63 Ranchero.
