Air Con Tension Pulley EB 3.9

Have a small problem with the tensioner pulley on the aircon belt screaming its head off. Have just replaced the old one that made a hell of a noise with a new one. This one screams like hell. Am wondering if it could be the tension as I can do it up so tight but when I remove the spanner off the weird tensioner thingy??? and put the socket on to tighten the nut it seems to loosen.
Am wondering two things. Is it because there is not enough tension on it? And if this is so how the hell does one keep the tension on to tighten the lock nut ?
BY the way Ford if it is not broke don't fix it. The old lever putting pressure on the air con or alternator and tighten worked fine !!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need to keep the tension on with the socket and tighten the big bolt at the same time. Otherwise it slips back.
