My eb fairmont, has a problem with the aircon, where it will only come out of the demister duct near the windscreen, no matter what you push or how long its running, has anyone else had this problem and know of a solution. All i can point out at the moment is a clicking sound from behind the glovebox when i push the different airflow buttons,

Check the vacuum line to the climate control. If there is no vacuum, the climate control will always default to screen.

PS That vacuum lead is down on the bottom right of the engine bay (that is the same side the inlet manifold is located)

If its anything like a commodore, the car should have a vacuum resivour in the passenger front wheel well. Somewhere on the lines to and from there will be a one way valve. The valve could be stuffed, or possibly a vacuum line from around there has cracked.

yeah, ive found all the lines, but everything seems to be in order. Maybe its past the firewall where the problem lies.
